Never mind... sorry for bothering you, but "sudo nvidia-settings" did

I had installed Kubuntu Hardy earlier, had problems with my screen
resolution (I couldn't set the resolution to 1240x1024), and fixed it

It appears that the problem is that I'm still using the Gutsy kernel
even after upgrading to Hardy. How do I tell it to switch to the Hardy
kernel?

I was thinking that if the other guy had already reported the bug and
gotten a response, then I should not make a duplicate report. If it is
better that I start a new thread, then what information should I
include?

running EnvyNG. Alberto Milone suggested that you should report this to
NVIDIA; did they manage to solve it?

The kernel module is there and yet this error shows up in the log:

It looks like EnvyNG did what it's supposed to do.
I need to see what happens when Ubuntu boots. Can you follow these
steps?
1) try to install the driver again (through EnvyNG)
2) reboot
3) let Ubuntu enter Safe Mode, open Terminal and type:
cp /var/log/Xorg.0.log $HOME/
cp /var/log/Xorg.0.log.ol
