I've been progressively adding more disks to the controller over the
past few weeks, and am now using every port, with 5 hard drives and 1

Thanks for the update. I'll start testing with drives in the affected
controller (was using a PCI card with a different chipset to get around
the issue) to see if it's still a problem in Hardy, and will plan on
testing 2.6.27 when Alpha5 is released.
