I have the same thing here, with amarok and firefox.
It only started recently, within the last 3 or 4 days.

The same happens to me when I run both, Firefox and Amarok. I can only

When I kill pulse audio and restart both, firefox and exaile, it works.
I think it's a bug in pulseaudio.
