Thank you for reminding me of this bug. It is no longer an issue for me,
because the xmodmap seems to have been adjusted so this bug is no longer
caused - neither in Hardy nor in Intrepid. I think it can be closed.

I just found out what causes the bug, but I could not yet find out why
it occurs. I use the neo layout (from http://wiki.neo-
layout.org/browser/linux/xmodmap the file neo_de.xmodmap). When the
xmodmap file is loaded, the dialog box does not show up, when I unload
it, the dialog box works. I'll
I tried to find out elements in the xmodmap file cause the problem. It
occurs whenever there is a symbol declared for the sixth level. When I
delete the declarations for the sixth level or replace them with
NoSymbol, the dialog works.
