I mean that I did not activate that option before I first reported this
bug, I did activate it after reading the FAQ where it was suggested as a
solution for an earlier version, and than I reported back here.

I talked to the bug triager and he misread the note about the issue being fixed
in an old version, I reopened the bug now.
are you sure you didn't active the option to list only subscribed boxes in the
account configuration though?

All I know is that the instructions on the FAQ solved my problem. I
reported everything that happened including the version I'm using as a
bug on the evolution project at gnome.org and they closed the bug.

I wouldn't know about that, however my system is up to date and
evolution version is 2.22.3.1 and the [url=http://www.go-
evolution.org/FAQ#I_cannot_see_some_emails.2C_but_they_must_be_there.]FAQ[/url]
says, as I understand it that this bug is solved in version 2.4.2.1,
perhaps it's still in develo

Changing my account settings to "Show subscribed mails only", Then using
"Folder | Subscriptions" to subscribe to my Inbox as suggested on the
evolution FAQ solved the problem. apparently this bug is was solved in a
later version so I suggest releasing the updated version in ubuntu as
soon as possi
to confim and send to bugzilla.gnome.org by somebody having the issue,
could be a server side issue

There is no output at all, the gui doesn't indicate that anything is
wrong either. It's as if there are no new messages.
