I cannot confirm Mikels solution.
I also ran into this Problems with randomly crashes.
But after installing a seperate NVIDIA Graphic Card, the Systema also crashed.

It seems that my old Ubuntu 8.04 runs really solid!

I just read what i wrote 2 posts above and i forgot to say one important
thing. Before my system crashed to the point i cant access my system

solved by installing some newer kernel. The system was 8.04 Ubuntu, i

Hy all.
Last night i tried to fix this but no luck. I updated the system via
sudo apt-get update (am not sure does this install new kernel and is it
even possible to boot to newer kernel without restarting and losing live
session anyway), installed 177something drivers from

Hi again, Mikel
In my case, I did a fresh installing of Xubuntu.
Besides, I had some problem with the Alsa Drivers, the Nvidia Drivers and
the IDE HD, among others.. (if you trace all my post, you'll note how can I
solved them).
I think that the problem is the lowest compatibility between the Mo
Thanks, Pedro, for your suggestion. I have tried installing xubuntu-

Update: I now also tested with a 64bit Alpha 6 Live CD and the issues
previously experienced seem to be solved.
My previous tests were on 32 bit. Can anybody confirm this?

When you say freezes do you mean total computer freeze, or just keyboard

Here are my Xorg.0.log and xorg.conf.
