Fabrice, it's very bad form to take somebody's patch and apply it without giving credit to them. Please don't do this in the future. Whatever happened, I am now unable to reproduce the aforementioned bug. Frequency scaling appears to work 100% of the time, according to the scaling applet in gnome-panel, at any rate. Since the bug was unrelated anyway, I for one feel confident to state the patch properly does the job. -- AMD CP

The debdiff seems to work. However, I am experiencing a bug with powernowd/modprobe/linux, where sometimes during startup Ubuntu will get stuck on "Starting powernowd...". I can still switch to a different tty and do a few things, but it doesn't want to boot anymore. It seems to happen mostly after
