Who said I was using Xorg? Just kidding! There you go!
I created the new user (with adduser) and the kde session didn't even
bother to start... which by the way is what was happening with my KDE
session (till I deleted the empty directory .kde/share/plasma
following a tip provided on the #ubuntu+1
Thanks - that is odd, as you're running the "resize" plugin ok. Could
you also please provide the following:
1. Please attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file to this bug report.
2. Please run "lspci -vvnn > lspci.log" and attach the resulting file
"lspci.log" to this bug report.
3. Please run "gcon
$ gconftool-2 -g /apps/compiz/general/allscreens/options/active_plugins
[core,dbus,place,move,resize,decoration,png,svg,imgjpeg,text,neg,video,wall,snap,animation,scale,expo,switcher,regex,resizeinfo,workarounds,ezoom,vpswitch,extrawm,fade,scaleaddon,scalefilter,session]
