Oh well, I guess there's not much of a point for me doing more testing
since I have the same card as you guys, other people reported on this
already and me not really being knowledgeable about wifi things,
encryption in particular.

I had some time around a hotspot today to do some testing. I was able to
connect to the AP, get an IP assigned and talk to the DNS (I didn't get
further than that due to time constrains and me being relatively
inexperienced in terms of routing tables and whatnot, also
firestarter/iptables probably
please try to connect ... i can see all acesspoints as well here (on
-generic with teh ubuntu-mobile image though) but it fails to establish
the connection, afaik teh behavior on lpia is similar

i'm talking about 2.6.27 on a samsung Q1 Ultra (which is one of the development
platforms we use in the ubuntu mobile team), do you see it working with lpia
kernel on this device ?
it uses an AR242x 802.11abg chipset ...

Oliver, are you talking about a 2.6.26 or a 2.6.27 kernel? With the recent
update to the 2.6.27 kernel the ath5k drivers works for me (didn't work on
2.6.26) and should work for most cards AFAIK.
(Not including lspci output or anything since I don't think that's particularly
relevant right now)
