Alright, I think I've isolated the problem. I previously had 8.04 installed. Before when I installed 8.10 I didn't format. This time, I did. It appears that if you install 8.10 over 8.04 without reformatting, it doesn't work properly. -- Logitech S510 wireless keyboard and mouse don't work in 8.

I'm not sure why you get those messages from the live session, because further down the log it is correctly configuring the mouse and keyboard. Also, HAL from the live session is showing a keyboard and mouse (whereas it isn't on the installed system). This is odd. I'll take a look at it further -

I am aware of that message already. Its caused by my wireless networking adapter. Sometimes when I boot up Ubuntu, it does that, and doesn't work. Other times it works fine. When it doesn't, I just enter: sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd And it fixes it immediately. I'll run those commands real quick an

Actually, I've just noticed from your dmesg that you appear to be running the Hardy (2.6.24-19) kernel on your installed Intrepid system (which is when the keyboard doesn't work). Is there any reason for this, and can you try this with the latest Intrepid kernel instead please? Thanks ** Changed

Alright, I think I've isolated the problem. I previously had 8.04 installed. Before when I installed 8.10 I didn't format. This time, I did. It appears that if you install 8.10 over 8.04 without reformatting, it doesn't work properly. -- Logitech S510 wireless keyboard and mouse don't work in 8.

I'm not sure why you get those messages from the live session, because further down the log it is correctly configuring the mouse and keyboard. Also, HAL from the live session is showing a keyboard and mouse (whereas it isn't on the installed system). This is odd. I'll take a look at it further -

I am aware of that message already. Its caused by my wireless networking adapter. Sometimes when I boot up Ubuntu, it does that, and doesn't work. Other times it works fine. When it doesn't, I just enter: sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd And it fixes it immediately. I'll run those commands real quick an
