+ right-click on networkmanager to open 'edit connections'
+ edit the network connection of your choice (in doubt edit one after another)
+ set the MTU not to 'automatic' but to '1492' (this usually is the right one,

As far as I know, network-manager doesn't support scripts so I don't know how
do to it to be automatic.

My friend had the same problem because the driver you are using sets the
minimum speed rate to the device by default.
Try this command in a console and please tell us if it has worked for you.
