I have no extra battery. This is a rig my son built. He knows Ubuntu; I do not. kacpid and kacpi_notify COME UP with Update Manager. So long as Update Manager is up, kacpid is using 87% of my cpu. That is not okay. How do I reset Update Manager so it only comes up when I want it to come up?
