I've also noticed that sometimes on resuming, Firefox doesn't freeze, but it does use 100% CPU. When this happens, I think, but am not sure, that it correlates with having Gmail and/or Google Reader open in a tab in Firefox. I think that a few times, closing those tabs has cut the CPU usage back
