BTW, the issue is still there in once instance, and it's not user error
(entirely). But it affects ONLY one Windows system. It has to have
something to do with the configuration of that Windows target. I've done
an exhaustive check of the file system and share permissions on the
closing the bug since that seems rather an user error than a bug

Well, shucky-darns. I didn't get a chance to try last night, and I can't
get the behavior to occur again this morning. I applied some updates
this morning, but I doubt they were related to anything that would have
fixed this problem.
Assuming that I really won't be able to get it to happen again,
thank you for your bug report, what do you select in the right click
list? do you get the issue in a consistant way?

I'm not quite certain what you're asking about the context menu. I'll
try to state the issue more clearly.
Normally, I left-click (or shift-left-click or ctrl-left-click) to
select file(s) I want to copy from the source directory. I select Copy
from the context menu, then move to the target
the action you list only works when a directory is selected, do you
click sometimes on the background and sometime not?

Oh, Im sorry. I get it now.
I always click on the folder / directory itself. I'm not opening the
directory and right-clicking on the space inside the folder. (I
generally set Nautilus to use list view on all folders.)
