Did you have some other linux headers installed?

Depends: [...], linux-headers-generic | linux-headers
So this should automatically pull those in, unless you have

I did have the wrong headers installed at the time.
What happened was I had the -proposed repository enabled, which installed
the newer linux-headers which confused jockey. Somebody at #ubuntu
eventually
