I had two boards with Intel 9xx Graphics, the Intel Double atom one
D945...CFLthings2 and a Kontron (s479 mini itc board)

when I run sudo glxgears instead of glxgears I get a better frame rate.
The poor frame rate appears to be a permission issue for the user.

I'm having similar problems after upgrading to jaunty alpha 2. I'm using a dell
inspiron 1420n with an intel g965 card.
glxgears has a frame rate of around 120 fps, but 3d games show a frame rate of
only 5! fps.
It seems that hardware acceleration simply isn't enabled. Any idea on
