I've recently noticed receiving duplicates of a few feeds too.
The duplicates appear to be exactly the same with no edits, nor are they
duplicated/double posted at source.

About the zdnet feed, duplicate appears because of the ads. I made this
little script that remove the ads and so the duplicates. Then in
liferea, you just need to run the script (command) instead of using the
url.

I suspect this might be a bogus bug:
I get duplicate entries in Google Reader too every now and then, and the reason
is that there are small differences between the two versions. Basically, when
someone edits a post (e.g. to correct a typo), a new rss feed entry is
created...
