the corresponding code has ben rewritten in jaunty which deprecated the
bug, you can open a new bug if you still get a similar issue after
upgrading though

It happens when the files in the trash doesn't have write permission for
the current user. It is strange though, because trash panel applet will
let empty the trash even if Nautilus would not.
