I downloaded the file mentioned above via Firefox and then imported it
into Sunbird from the local disc. This causes the same behaviour as

Can you please try 0.8 in hardy backport repos version
0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu1~hardy1 Nad let me know if you still see it. I am unable
to reproduce this in intrepid and jaunty using
intrepid: 0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu1
Jaunty 0.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu1
I have packaged 0.9 for Hardy and Intrepid in my P
I am working on fixing my PPA so 0.9 wont hit until at the very soonest
tonight or tomorrow. So at this time there is no sunbird packages in my
PPA however 0.8 in backports seem to not give me this problem, Please
let me know after you test 0.8 from ubuntu backport repo
