As this is not a problem with our Qt, but a third-party install, I'm marking
this as invalid.
The only "fix" for this is to remove the third-party software (along with the
copy of Qt it installed). Or to manually remove the Qt libraries the software
installed.
** Changed in: qt4-x11 (Ubuntu)

Thanks Jonathan.
I don't know how that has happened, because I do not choose that myself.
Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Your problem seems to be that you also have a locally-installed version of Qt,
according to the log you posted in the other bug.

I added VirtualBox error in the hope that it could shed some light into
the problem. All the programs stoped working at the same time.
My eee box has the same problem with skype, although I have no
virtualbox in it.

That is true... but it sometimes adds to the library paths, and causes a
whole mess.
As for VirtualBox, it depends on QT, so it is also affected.
I think you are saying that VirtualBox has nothing to do with the problem
of QT's bad libraries. That is true.
Notice:
VirtualBox: supR3HardenedMainG
Skype uses its own version of the Qt libs, so that's causing that
problem. And the VirtualBox thing is totally unrelated to Qt at all.

Same problem (undefined symbol) also when trying to run Sun's VirtualBox

By the way, no reference to /opt/nessus/lib in my /etc/ld.so.conf or
in my files.
