I would also like to add that this might also point an underlying
hardware problem, which would not be a bug in ubuntu. If the whole
computer freeze, including the mouse, this has many chances to be a CPU
overheat problem. I would highly recommend you to boot any Ubuntu
LiveCD, and choose the
