It is not yet fixed. I have a Toshiba NB100 netbook. Other than this, no
other major problems found. But this one is very annoying.

Thanks for reporting this bug. This is a bug in Metacity, as it doesn't
resize the window when the window undecorates. For hardy and intrepid,
we had a patched Metacity in our PPA, but for Jaunty, we sent the patch
upstream[1] to Metacity and it has now been merged and is included in
the latest sta

I can confirm this problem, as the original poster described, on an
upgraded Jaunty netbook (upgraded from Intrepid).
The gap at the bottom appears in some programs but not all; OpenOffice,
Nautilus and Synaptic all seem to exhibit the issue.
I have found a workaround:
Open the offending program
Similar behavior here. Screen is 1024x600 (eeepc 900), but the gap is not on
the bottom, but the top (and greater than 24 pixel wide).
The actual size of the window that is on the screenshot I attached should be
adapted to fit the screen, so the bottom is not showed (and this bottom
