Could you please test and confirm this issue exists with the latest
Karmic 9.10 Alpha development release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If the issue
remains, please run the following command from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal).
I can't reproduce this bug in Karmic Alpha 3. My SDHC cards are
correctly read by Nautilus when using my USB SDHC card reader and when
I'm accessing my N800 via USB cable. I tested a 8GB and 4GB card. So,
it would appear to be fixed!

I am experiencing the same problem with a Kingston SDHC card reader and
when plugging in my Nokia N800 via USB cable. In Ubuntu 8.04, the SDHC
cards are read correctly, and I am presented with a dialog asking me
what application I want to use to view the media on the card. In

Just want to say that this is still an issue. Plugging the card into
the reader does not cause Ubuntu to recognise it, though the reader does

Hi,
this is exactly what I'm experiencing. Cheap USB Card Reader (internal) [lsusb
shows it as Genesys Logic, Inc.] and Jaunty: when cards (in my case I'm using
CF cards) are inserted the status LED lights up, but no recognition happens.
When I attach a USB memory stick to this very cardreader,
Just to give an update, today I had the SD card plugged in and inserted
a USB flash drive into another USB slot. The SD card was then detected
and I could retrieve the contents. I'm away now and don't have a chance
to do more testing, but it appears it is at least detecting the card
now, albeit
