Not fixed with Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick
Soundmodule ice1712
Only solution, stop manually pulseaudio, reload driver (i have not
tested alsa reload, but this should work too). So you could fix this bug
while placing a script inside /etc/pm/sleep.d where there audio driver
should be forced to reload.

This just started happening on my ASUS EEE PC 900A on Karmic i386 with
all updates installed as of December 5, 2009:
Linux ingenii 2.6.31-16-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 3 22:00:22 UTC

This bug in Jaunty seems to have mysteriously fixed itself around the
time that I began noticing this suspend issue, so I suspect the two are
related. Anyone else notice a similar issue?

Antioch's solution is a work around for the time being but I too have
this issue. I just got the card too! Might have to switch back to on
board for the time being. Regardless, keep up the great work guys!!!
Suspend / resume is really solid for me otherwise.
Computer: Core 2 Duo e8500, Asus
I just confirmed this is not fixed with kernel 2.6.30

I have this problem as well - as do many people on the ubuntuforums.
One solution is as follows:
Run sudo alsa force-reload at the cli after resume.
This is just a temporary solution, there should be a more permanent fix
to this problem...
My machine:
ASUS P5B, Core2Duo E6700, 2GB DDR2 800MHz
Please add the model of the computer.
