For sure, this bug is not related to network-manager. It is the missing

Well, this is horrible!
How is it even possible to include a meta-package that's dependencies
can't be resolved within the official repositories? I thought pbuilder
or something similar was a requirement, not optional.
I wasn't able to find any package matching that kernel version on

i experienced kind of dist-upgrade before this happened to mee, too :-/
I think something went wrong with those repos THERE. Another 'sudo
aptitude dist-upgrade' seems to have 'fixed' this for me (sry for
german):

Tries to update, but it depends on:
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.28-12-generic
Which doesn't seem to exist anywhere in packages.ubuntu.com. I have all
repos enabled, and yet
The package linux-restricted-modules-generic cannot be updated to the
version for kernel 2.6.28-12, and therefore the wireless is stuck. I
hope this package is available soon.
I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 with all repo's enabled.

I have this same problem. It seems to be related to the package manager
wanting to remove the linux-restricted packages with the new kernel
upgrade, which i did when i updated with aptitude via its suggestions.
