I got this message and after looking for
/usr/lib/gnome-netstatus/gnome-netstatus-applet
and not finding it, had a look for
gnome-netstatus-applet
in synaptic , yes it was in synaptics database but it wasn't installe
found this while googling my error message:

out a fix is released for my issue, which may be different than the one

Also have the same bug in Karmic. Can't seem to get the TS-client applet on the
panel:

After upgrading from Jaunty to Karmic Alpha 5 I get:
The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_TSClientApplet".
Whether I choose to delete it or not, the item is unavailable on the
panel. I don't know if this is related to technoshaun's statement above
because I can try to re-ad
Since upgrading to Jaunty a few weeks ago, I've had this same error
message every time I log in. Quite annoying -- I'm tempted to go ahead
and press 'delete' but I don't know if it's something I need or not
