This must be the most confusing bug report I have ever read. Can you try to explain in few clear words what the problem actually is? The only network variables that don't need an interface to be explicity specified are downspeedgraph and upspeedgraph (for which the default is eth0), so I guess

Sorry about that! it's my first time filing a bug report. I'll try to clear things up. Basically, I have a bandwidth script in the .conkyrc, it will not display the amount of bandwidth being used, it stays at 0. It will only display the bandwidth being used if I actually edit the network card
