echo blacklist floppy | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-floppy.conf
sudo rmmod floppy sudo update-initramfs -u
dont work error: module floppy in use

sudo vi /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
solved it

I experienced this bug in Ubuntu 12.10.
Commenting out fd0 in fstab and running
echo blacklist floppy | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-floppy.conf
sudo rmmod floppy sudo update-initramfs -u
solved the problem
