Yes. Thank you for keeping an eye on this & adding your information.
This is exactly the problem I noticed, but was unable to put in to words!
I have just installed Karmic final release & will try pluging in my CDMA
card at some point to test if the newer version of nm[-applet] has fixed

Network-Manager should update a notification and not create a new one.
I've attached a stand-alone Python example simulating/demonstrating how

So, is this a network manager problem? Does the package need changed over?
Or will it just go down as spam control not being implemented yet?

Not quite, the messages blink very quickly, over-writing the previous one.
Maybe speed up your video by 20x and that will be it.
After the final one blinks/is displayed, it remains for the normal duration of

Hm... that looks like some odd misbehaving of NetworkManager there. On
the other hand-side throttling/"spam-protection" in notify-osd isn't in
place yet to. Does it somehow look like in the screencast I attached?

Maybe this will do.

I'm not 100% sure what it looks like. Could you provide a screencast
(e.g. recorded with GtkRecordMyDesktop)? Do you think it's a rendering-
bug of notify-osd or a wrong use of network-manager? A screencast would
help me guess that better.
