I can hardly believe that only a few people are affected by this bug.
I'm seeing it myself on 3 different systems, 2 desktops and 1 laptop.
Taking in consideration the fact that this was reported almost 2 years
ago, shouldn't the importance be changed? I mean, I think that not being

I can confirm this bug in Karmic Alpha 5. Wired (DHCP) is not seen, even
when it works!
OTOH, should I install the Broadcom STA drivers and connect to a
wireless connection, the wireless shows in KNetworkManager. But the
wired one... never.

I have this identical problem with my Kubuntu install on an HP Compaq
DC7800. My network works fine, but it doesn't show up in this tool.
