I'm sorry I wouldn't like to change the Status on this Bug since nobody has
replied my post.
Is anybody else having this problem? I've tested on two machines with different
Iso Images and the result is the same with 9.10. I cannot decompress nor open
files with characters like º or ü.

I must say, it is not fixed. I'm using karmik and with the Test provided by
cbrmichi i have encountered the (Codificación No Valida) message. This has
happend to me as well with certain (private) files of my own.
It's odd, since I have never had to do any worarrounds for this matter with

i got the same error here with another file. the file is created with
openoffice, named Übung.doc, then compressed in test.zip with ubuntu
9.04. then i sent it per mail to another computer and tried to
decompress it with ubuntu 9.10.
when trying to open the file in the archive there is following
