Michal, I think this is because a (useful) very recent change in linux kernel.
Could you:
- tell us the output of cat ~/.gconf/apps/ekiga/devices/*/*
- install the debugging packages for ptlib, opal and ekiga and redo the
backtrace
?

It was device/video configuration problem with config from older ekiga
version (3.2.0). I don't have any v4l device on the system, so the xml
conf was Device not found (PTLIB/V4L2) translated into Czech, see
attached file. I renamed it and now ekiga starts and in the
configuration I can choose

We need a better output:
$ gdb --args ekiga -d 4 21 | tee gdb-ekiga.txt
(gdb) run
Now Ekiga should run normally. Perform the action you did to make it
crash, then go back to the terminal window and you should see something
like SIGSEGV at...
At this stage type:
(gdb) thread apply all
Output catched by script command, should contain all info as requested.
