Sorry, completely forgot about this.
In current version of karmic 9.10, current kernel and nvidia version,
everything is working ok.
pci = nomsi is not needed anymore.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

In fact I have an HP CQ 50-103 LA and with the option

I am using Ubuntu Karmic Beta now, and my suspend/hibernate has not
functioned properly since Intrepid. Intrepid it worked remarkably well
both suspend and hibernate. With Jaunty the hibernate function still
worked, the suspend function didnt work. I updated to Karmic Alpha 6 and
it was still the

I had the same problem in 9.04 jaunty.
Hibernation ok, suspend/resume with problems:
suspend works, but when resuming, a lot of errors concerning ext4, I had to
shut down.
I remember that suspend/resume worked but I cannot tell in which version of
kernel.
Having similar issues resuming my HP CQ50 (cq50-210us) - just blank
screen w/mouse cursor. I did find this which seems to have resolved the
resume issue for me.
