Hi, I've been having similar issues on my EeePC 1005HA, AR9285, ah9K driver on Lubuntu 14.04 and now on 16.04. It very rarely manage to connect to my AP (WPA1 CCMP). Tried echo "options ath9k nohwcrypt=1" > /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf as mentionned in Forums but it does not seem to reliably fix

I am using wicd, and upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic. From what I can see wicd is failing to authenticate with a my hidden wpa-psk network. The network ID reported by wicd has change form the correct name guest to So tried changing the essid= entries in the /etc/wicd/wireless- settings.conf G
