Updated my Bios to v1401 through the automatic updater in Windows.
Bluetooth works like a charm now. Thanks Manoj! Strange though, that it
worked with the old Bios and Karmic...

I have a eee pc 1005 HA-PU (same bluetooth adapter?) and my bluetooth adapter
is also not discovered in Lucid. It says "your computer does not have any
bluetooth adapters plugged in" in gnome-bluetooth.

To start out, is the device being identified as a bluetooth device?
Take a look if btusb is getting loaded:
$ btusb
If it is, make sure that
$ hciconfig
lists it.
If it's listed, try to reset the device using
$ sudo hciconfig hci0 reset
If that works, then it's a kernel bug and your device
