Dear Lars,
I can not understand why there is a big problem with new Ubuntu versions
and my Notebook. The very stable version ist Ubuntu 8.04. The newer
versions make my notebook crash. I can use the maus but nothing more can
be selected and every thing looks like a standing picture on the scree
?

Massood, could you run memtest from the boot loader (grub) menu, for at
least 12 hours? Just in case there is a problem with your RAM.

Hello,
thank you very much for you mail. Unfortunately, I have still the same
problem with Ubuntu. Additional problem has been occured that after a
while Ubuntu hangs and I can not move the mouse any more. Nothing works
anymore. Probably, it is a kernel problem or a cache or memory problem.
