I just ran into this bug which appears patched. However, it came up for
me today 2010-01-25, and I thought this kind of problem auto-updated
with the system package managers. I am running Ubuntu 9.10 Live. My

Did Complete recommended upgrade - Sunday Jan24 10 PM. -- Still Get same Error.

Hello, this is not a bug I think. I have the same "problem". My
motherboard can use both ECC and non-ECC RAMs. I use non-ECC ram and
motherboard reports, that it use non-ECC and it can use ECC RAM. Not
that it use ECC RAM as non-ECC RAM.

When will the fix be available in the repos do you think? It occurs very
regularly and I can't find a consistent pattern. I've been trying to
get floppy drives working and the bug pops up all the time. I have
absolutely no idea if the two are linked, just putting the idea across
for determination.

I was running 9.04 totally fine, and 8.10 before, no issues like this.
Did a complete fresh install of Karmic and this error is happening all
the time. I have an AMD64bit processor and a MSi board with built in ATI
graphics. I'm using the suggested proprietary driver too.
