Confirmed on Ubuntu 9.10 server (final) with cups 1.4.1-5ubuntu2. The
hosts cannot find the shared printers, as described by the reporter.
The workaround proposed by Heitzso unfortunately doesn't work here.
However, I'm a bit suspicious if this is a general problem, because
there are just a few r
minor off line fix ... if you have the printers.conf file from before
trying karmic, use that in the /etc/cups dir and you should have a
working system.
Doesn't fix the bug, but it might get your printer working.
