You forgot to mention why you think that this is a problem and what
should be done about it...
Just running the 'cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail' eats some
entropy, but it rebuilds pretty fast so I am not sure what you think the
problem is exactly.

My max pool is 4096, with an average of 3600. When I start any part of
OO (writer,
I think the problem is that OO makes 3000 bits of random data disappear
when starting up, or is this the expected behavior? I've checked with
some other programs but they don't seem to do that. I see that reading
/proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail costs some entropy, but not the
3000 bit I see
