The screenshots posted have nothing to do with the BIOS. They are
messages output by the linux kernel... So the current description of the
bug is just wrong. Moreover, messages by udev are not the only visible
ones. So this bug isn't either a duplicate.

To my knowledge, no. The way computers in general work is that there is
some bit of firmware called the BIOS that comes with the computer that
initializes the hardware and then hands itself off to the operatin
