I found the trick. I opened the properties of a script and in the "Open with" dialog I found that it was set to the last item in the list, in some others script no one item was set. Just to try, I set Open With Gedit in a script, now all my bash scripts are opened automatically. That is weird, b

More exactly the behavior is: If the string is #/bin/bash (no ! ) the script is still executable from a terminal or even from the "Run" button in Nautilus, but if I press the "show" button Gedit is not opened, but neither the script is executed. If the string is #bin/bash (no !/ ) when I press

I found new infos. I created a new account and I tried to create a new script, the problem persists on a new script and as well trying to open a script in the old account, but if I quit the string #!/bin/bash the problem disappears no matter if the file is or not executable. -- nautilus on Kar

Yes Pedro, I understand that is not reproducible, as Sebastian said before probably is due to some local settings and I definitively don't know which set is responsible for this. The only I know is that is not the language settings, because I had the same issue two years ago on Feisty and Gutsy
