I am using karmic, and lscpi shows an atheros ar5001, and the ath5k
driver works. i have a toshiba u305-s7448 notebook. kernel is
2.6.31-22-generic.
Just a thought: have you guys tried sudo rmmod ath5k, then sudo
modprobe ath5k, then see if you can get access to wireless?
