We are exporting files with errors like:

Yeah, seems like the exported .po files are broken so we cannot compile
them as .mo files.
We are still investigating how's that we get broken .po files...

I can confirm this issue on Feisty too.
The problem seems to be that the translation file quanta.mo is missing
from the language-pack-kde-xy-base.
