Thank you for reporting this bug. tsclient has been removed from the
Ubuntu 11.10 archives. The software has not had a new release in years
and was no longer being maintained. Unfortunately that means this bug
won't be fixed.

Confirmed in Ubuntu Karmic 9.10.
The proposed fix in last comment, changes the default program for
opening text/plain documents to tsclient too.
It's a bad solution :-(

It can be solved in a good way (in 9.10 at least) following these steps:
1) Launch systemsettings
2) Go to Advanced Tab
3) File Associations
4) Add a new file association (RDP)
5) Extensión .rdp
6) Aplication: tsclient (usually in /usr/bin)
7) Done and update (and I had to close the session
Sounds like a permanent solution, I'll give it a try and let ye know.

Confirmed in Intrepid Ibex 8.10, lets get this fixed.
For those who right-click on the RDP file and choose Open with Other
Application, the programme to use is tsclient - put that in under
custom command.

Confirmed in Hardy (beta)
I got a reasonable way into fixing this issue when I was playing with it
in Gutsy but I gave up. It is possible to fix, but I don't know enough
about editing/creating mime types.
A simple fix would be for someone (who knows more about mime types and
'default' programs)
Still in Feisty and now even on Gutsy.
