I am sorry. The error is present in epiphany as well but not the address
field there and not in any GNOME text fields. I use amd64 fesity.

My graphic card is a GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache with the default "nv"
driver installed.
I just downloaded the nvidia driver (nvidia-glx package) and ran nvidia-
glx-config, and now the problem has gone ! I am editing this message by
using firefox without any dirty text cursor around :)

I used live CD ubuntu 6.06 and installed it into hard disk. (i386)
I think it may be hardware-specific problem.
