PS Joshua, that re-installation procedure has a typo, should be sudo rm
-fr ~/.local/share/ubuntuone you have ~/.share/local/ubuntuone and the
sudo apt-get install ubuntuone* didn't work for me either, says there
are conflicts, so I installed it through the proposed updates instead.

Ok, I ran through the complete installation procedure mentioned here:

proposed updates to install U1 after I purged it. I put the file in the
Ubuntu One folder and it never shows it on the web. It says it is
updated, but nothing o

I Installed from a Live CD.
All of the syncdaemon-exceptions.log files are empty.
I have used UO since I made this report and this seems to have been a one time
thing. I will let you know if it happens again.
