This also happens to me. Click on the "Install Updates" button and the
application waits. The first package is not greyed... the rest are. The
cursor is the circular 'wait' one. No popup for password as expected. The app
cannot be closed (I haven't tried kill...fearful of really screwing u
I get this when I press the Check button. It pops the dialog showing it
downloading the repositories. That dialog then exits, but update-manager
remains all just greyed out. It stays like this until I kill it.
If I run from the console I see the following error after the repository
download dial
Please attach ~/.xsession-errors when the problem happens next time.
