This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the

Same problems as above on Aspire 5332 using 64bit karmic Wifi my biggest
concern. Screen brightness non changeable also.

Much the same as first post. I've tried disabling all power saving
functions with ltd success. wifi signal strength always drops down to
just 1 or 2 bars (from the full 4 bar strength) and then after minutes
or hours (length of time fluctuates), cuts out or freezes the laptop
completely (using
