I confirm this hang on booting. I just upgraded to linux 686...-25 and
now i got a hang for 2-3 minutes on "mounting the root filesystem".
Before I used the kernel 386-23.
I even noticed that coming back from suspend(sleep) takes longer now
than before, but I might be wrong. I will investigat
The boot option "acpi=noirq" does not help. I added an attachment that
show the boot messages just before the hang.

Seems like some of the "message omitted" can relevant.
Just a guess. Can you try to boot passing "acpi=noirq" in the boot
parameters?

I'm also experiencing this, or something similar, with kernel 15-23.
I regularly get a 2 minute delay after the line "Mounting root file system..."
is displayed.
However, occasionally it only stops for 10 to 20 seconds at this point.
