Thanks for your bug. If the system crash that's likely to not be a totem
bug, whatever an application does it should not crash something else
than the application, your issue might be with the videodriver you are
using. Could you attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and you
/var/log/Xorg.0.log to the bug

I just noticed, that Totem also crashes the system, when playing other
videos, like the Ubuntu example video "Experience ubuntu.ogg".

The lockup not only occurs with the file I mentioned in the original
report, but also with the one I'm going to attach - it's a smaller file,
just 450k.
Because of this, I suppose that this is a general problem of Totem with
